For this project, I created three functions used for plotting different kinds of diagrams, namely line plots, shaded plots and error plots. This was achieved by using the Haskell library gnuplot, which depends on the command line tool gnuplot.
I implemented the functions in such a way, so the user could adjust the width of the line together with its label, color, and use different datasets. Additionally, I made it possible for the user, to plot several lines on a single diagram.
This Haskell program involved querying and updating temperature figures of a list of UK weather stations. It runs in GHCI mode, which means that the Haskell
file containing the code can be executed as a script by just loading it under GHCI. It has an interactive menu showing you all the available options of this program. Its main purpose is to read in the average temperatures of the UK weather stations stored in a file and display the data on a screen.
I developed the chemistry software pHCalc using Java, Picocli and gnuplot. "pHCalc" calculates the equivalence point, its pH value and plots or prints the results. Additionally, it performs several tasks after the titration of an acid using a base as the titrant has been finished. It calculates the equivalence point together with its pH value based on the second derivative. After having performed the calculation, it prints the results into a neatly formatted table and stores it in a file. The titration curve together with the first and second derivatives are plotted, eventually.
I implemented my own database application referred to as MyDbApp, which works with either an SQLite, MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL database. Its main purpose is to allow for database editing conveniently by offering a modern GUI. It’s however a customized application, because each database is different. The view of a database entity, such as an articles table, can be reached by clicking on the corresponding link under your dashboard. If the table contains entries, then you’ll be able to click through the pages, in which each entry has a checkbox at the beginning.
For this Haskell project I adapted the Yesod web application “Espial” in which I added MySQL support. This was realized by importing the MySQL library from Haskell and implementing a MySQL database for the backend. Espial then stored all of its data in the newly created MySQL database.
Additionally, I inserted a search form used for looking through the imported bookmarks. Not only that, I also created a complex query which
was basically a full text search using the Haskell library called Esqueleto.
This project is about data analysis carried out in a Python environment. It deals with how to plot experimental data using Python together with third party libraries. This project is divided into two parts. While the first part begins with the gathering of information. However, the second part sticks to the third party libraries 'matplotlib' as well as 'seaborn' to plot the data.
The goal of this project was to create an interactive simulation machine for topics related to chemistry and finances.
I started implementing this project by using Java together with JavaFX for the frontend. To display the data, I mainly used the standard chart package from JavaFX together with a customized CSS stylesheet. After the user hit the import button, the data was displayed in the form of a pie chart, bar chart, area chart, line chart, scatter plot or heatmap. Additionally, this application offered an interactive experience.
This project is about the extensibility of LibreOffice using Python as the macro language together with the third party library “PyUNO”. It deals with how to extend the LibreOffice office suite without having to write everything from scratch. This project is divided into two parts. While in the first part, some LO Calc documents are automated. However, the second part sticks to the LO Writer application to generate a letter using pure Python code.
