A client needed to automate product data collection from Armag.de, a website containing over 10,000 products across multiple categories. The existing process required manually searching for products and entering data into spreadsheets on a daily basis.
One of the main challenges was that each product category contained different attributes and specifications, making it impossible to use a single spreadsheet structure for all products. To solve this, I built an automated workflow using n8n to categorize products, clean and normalize the extracted data and generate structured spreadsheet outputs based on product type.
The project also involved overcoming dynamic website behavior, authentication requirements and bot protection mechanisms. Using Python and supporting libraries, I developed a reliable scraping solution capable of accessing protected product data through secure login handling within a Dockerized environment.
