You will walk away with a completely edited manuscript. I’ll systematically go through each step of the editorial process, weaseling out typos, clarifying meaning, trimming wordiness, and giving your manuscript a final polish, before returning the Word document to you with track changes. (If you’d like, I can also provide a clean document with all changes applied.) As I proceed, I’ll leave thoughtful comments explaining why I made certain changes so that you gain some insight into my rationale. One of the more surprising bits of feedback I’ve gotten over the years is how tactful my comments are, and I aim to always bring that air of friendly professionalism to my work.

Before getting stuck in, I like to make sure that we’re both on the same page about expectations and deliverables so that you end up feeling confident in the end result. Because word count and the extent of editing are variable, I offer different “products” based on your needs. If you have a longer manuscript, please see my other offerings. For this product, I offer the option of a line edit for an additional fee, as it involves a greater focus on polishing writing style.
