Let me share with you my experience.

A recruiter receives several dozen to several hundred applications per advert, not counting unsolicited applications. They are overwhelmed by the number of applications and therefore spend an average of less than 15 seconds per CV.

Firstly, you should know that more than half of employers prefer substance to form.

In the other half, 9 out of 10 recruiters admit that the form remains vital for the impact, fluidity, speed of transmission of messages, and to distinguish themselves notably on the creative and audacious aspect.

And it is more than 8 out of 10 recruiters for whom cover letters are crucial in the final decision.

What recruiters are really interested in is your story: more than half of the time spent reading a CV is spent looking at experience.

Recruiting is a big decision with many consequences, not just financial. Having the perfect profile is not only a question of skills and diplomas, but of PEOPLE, they want to know your POTENTIAL.

For example: CVs for the Anglo-Saxon market do not contain photos (putting a photo is sometimes synonymous with direct elimination... )
On the contrary to the French and Swiss markets, where the majority of recruiters prefer to have a photo integrated in the CV.
