How much does a Pinterest account audit cost?

A quick audit, for example in 30 minutes, is the cheapest option, a full audit or account optimization costs about twice as much, and installing the Pinterest tag to track conversions costs about three times as much. Every offer shows its price before you order.

What does a Pinterest account audit check?

The profile (name, description, claimed website), how boards are organized and titled, pin titles and descriptions, links to your website, and your statistics: impressions, saves and clicks to your website. At the end, you usually get a list of fixes, which you apply yourself or hand over to the freelancer.

Do you need a cookie banner to install the Pinterest tag?

Yes, in Europe: the Pinterest tag is used to measure and target your ads, so it should only fire after the visitor agrees in your cookie banner. Ask the freelancer installing it to connect it to your consent tool, and check together that it doesn't load before the click on Accept. To install it, they need access to your website, your online store or Google Tag Manager.

How long does it take to see the effect of a Pinterest optimization?

Allow several weeks. On Pinterest, an edited pin or a reorganized board doesn't change your statistics overnight. Write down your figures before the audit (impressions, saves, clicks to your website), then compare them over the same length of time one or two months later. Of course, no optimization replaces pins published regularly.

What access should you give a freelancer for a Pinterest account audit?

For an audit, the link to your account and screenshots of your statistics from the last few months are often enough. To apply the fixes or install the tag, however, they'll need access to your account or your website, to be agreed together. Also ask what the audit includes (written report, video call…): the Contact button, on the service page and on the profile, lets you discuss it before you order.
