A basic Pixel installation is one of the cheapest tasks. Setting up the Conversions API along with the Pixel usually costs about three times as much, and installation on a Shopify store can cost up to five times as much. The price also depends on your website and on the actions you want to track (purchase, add to cart, form…).

Often 1 to 2 days, and some offers state installation within 24 hours. Each offer shows its delivery time. Then allow a little time to check with the freelancer that events show up properly in Meta's Events Manager, for example by placing a test order.

The Pixel is a piece of code on your website that sends visitors' actions to Meta from their browser. The Conversions API sends the same actions from your server, which makes it less affected by ad blockers and browser limits. Meta recommends using both together, with a shared event ID so the same purchase isn't counted twice.

Yes, depending on the method: a user account on your website (WordPress, a Shopify collaborator account) or access to your Google Tag Manager container. On the Meta side, share the Pixel with the freelancer from your Business Manager settings instead of giving your Facebook login. And of course, remove that access once the setup has been checked.

In Europe, yes. The Meta Pixel is an advertising tracker, so under the GDPR and cookie rules it should only fire after the visitor agrees. Ask the freelancer to connect the Pixel to your cookie consent tool so it stays inactive until the visitor accepts. Note that data sent through the Conversions API also falls under the GDPR.
