ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Lizzy, a professional screenwriter, script editor, and creative storyteller with an MFA in Screenwriting for Film & Television, along with two semesters of formal study in directing.

My journey in film making goes beyond the writing desk. I have hands-on experience working as a Production Assistant and Production Manager on multiple Hollywood film productions. Working directly within film production gave me a practical understanding of what happens behind the scenes and how a screenplay ultimately becomes a visual story.

That experience strongly influences the way I write and edit. I pay close attention to story structure, character development, dialogue, pacing, conflict, emotional arcs, and visual storytelling. I understand that a screenplay needs to do more than tell a good story on paper—it needs to create a clear foundation for directors, actors, producers, and the entire production team.

I have written festival-recognised screenplays and have a genuine passion for creating character-driven stories with strong emotional foundations. I enjoy developing ideas, strengthening story concepts, shaping characters, refining dialogue, and turning rough ideas into polished screenplays.

My services include screenplay writing, script editing, story development, screenplay evaluation, and professional script coverage. I work across different stages of the writing process, from developing an early concept to refining a completed screenplay for a stronger and more professional presentation.

Every project has its own voice and creative direction, so I take the time to understand the story before making changes. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and detail-oriented. I never want the editing process to erase what makes a writer’s story unique. Instead, my goal is to strengthen what is already there and help the story reach its full potential.

My combination of academic screenwriting training, directing studies, and real-world production experience allows me to look at a screenplay from both a writer’s perspective and a filmmaker’s perspective.

Story is at the heart of everything I do, and I genuinely enjoy helping writers bring their ideas to life in a way that feels authentic, engaging, cinematic, and ready for the next stage.
