It depends on the work. Installing a bot or fixing an existing MT4 bot sits at the low end, automating a simple strategy costs about two to three times as much, and a TradingView indicator in Pine Script or a custom MT4 or MT5 Expert Advisor with backtesting about five times as much. Every offer shows its price before you order, and options can be added.

Give them your rules in writing: entry and exit conditions, stop loss, take profit, position size, timeframe and the instruments you trade. Specify the platform, since MT4 is programmed in MQL4 and MT5 in MQL5: the code isn't the same. Also ask for the source code (.mq4 or .mq5) on top of the compiled file (.ex4 or .ex5), otherwise nobody else will be able to change it later.

An AI tool writes a first draft of MQL5 or Pine Script code in seconds, which is useful to test an idea. However, that code doesn't always compile, and it can handle real situations badly: a rejected order, a widening spread, a lost connection. A freelance developer can start from that draft, fix it, compile it and test it in the MetaTrader strategy tester before delivering it.

No. The developer turns your rules into code: if the strategy loses money, the bot will lose money too. A backtest shows what those rules would have produced on past data, which says nothing certain about the future. These are development services: they aren't personalized investment advice, and no gain is guaranteed. So test the bot on a demo account before putting real money in.

Check that they work on your platform: MQL4, MQL5 and Pine Script are three different languages. Read what the offer delivers: source code, backtest report, number of revisions. As for timing, recent orders were often delivered in 2 to 3 days. The Contact button lets you send your strategy to the developer so they can tell you whether it's feasible before you order.
