Based on orders from the last 90 days, a fuller project with several connected tools or an Airtable base usually costs two to three times as much as a simple automation. The Make, Zapier or n8n subscription and the cost of the AI you use are usually not included: they're paid on your own accounts.

Create the accounts in your name and invite the freelancer as a team member when the tool allows it, rather than sharing your passwords.

Zapier is the easiest to learn and connects to a very large number of apps. Make shows each scenario as a diagram and handles complex sequences well. n8n can be installed on your own server, which helps keep your data in-house, but it takes more technical skill. Simply describe the task to the freelancer: they can recommend the right tool for your case and budget.
